Hufbearbeitung

English Summary:

Farrier’s work
The previous farrier did not a very convincing job- latest eight weeks after the last appointment, Gladur would have severe deformations on the inside of his front hooves. Also he did shape the hooves in a very narrow way seen from below and lowered the hoof in the frog area extremely. This puts maximum strain on the tendon above. So not good for various reasons.
The guy that did the stand in when I had farrier chaos at the old stable did get a good intermediate correction, especially considering that Gladur didn’t like to raise his hooves much then.
And now our new farrier has done a very good job five weeks ago, as we are out of the magic four weeks (after those all corrections have grown out, so to speak) and you barely see a tendency of the hoof to change.
Seen from below, the narrow hind hooves are also beginning to recover and I hope that the complete hoof shape will recover more. In the front feet it is on a good way.
