Der Mensch, der mit Pferden nicht ständig zu tun hat, denkt sich bestimmt, naja das Pferd steht da so im Stall, das Personal macht alles und man selber verbringt stundenlang mit dem Pferd und hat Spaß. In manchen Ställen ist das so. Aber nicht in Allen.
Bei uns ist es so, das man gegen Aufpreis seinen Stalldienst abgeben kann. Aber für mich gehört das einfach dazu, solange die Gesundheit es halbwegs hergibt und egal was für eine nervige Plackerei das ist. Hätte ich ein Heimtier, dann würde ich den Käfig/das Katzenklo etc. ja auch sauber machen. (Und das sogar noch öfter als Stalldienst anfällt)
Von daher sieht bei uns der Alltag oft eher so aus:

Aber das weiß man alles vorher und macht es gern. Man muss es nur mal zeigen, das ein Pferd eine Menge Arbeit und Organisation bedeutet- man dann aber viel Zeit und Spaß mit ihm verbringen kann. 🙂

Those not as closely attached to horses often have a certain mental images about the maintenance of a horse. It lives in its boarding stable and the personel is doing everything, so you just come there and ride, right? In some stables, yes.
In our stable, every owner has one day stable duty which means the mucking out of paddock and pasture. You can buy your way out by paying higher rent, but for me this is part of the deal. If I had a pet at home, then I would also clean the cage/cat toilet whatever- and way more often than I have to go and clean the horse’s living quarters.
And so the piccies above show more of the every day live which has a big part in organising, cleaning out and maintaining the health of the chronical ill horse (in our case). But as soon all this is done, you have all the time you want to spend with the horse, indeed.
